My sister hates ferris wheels (“rickety death traps”) while I love them- the views, the swaying of the baskets, the sheer campy-ness of the whole thing all adds up to a magical moment in my book. At county fairs I make her ride on them with me and she makes me eat weird things (“pickled what?”).

Sunburst Pleats: noun – accordion-like pleats that are narrow at top and wider at bottom, producing a flared silhouette. Fabric is pleated on the bias so that the pleats radiate from a central point.

Set your sights on a pair of patterned pants for spring. They’re as easy to wear as a printed skirt with the added bonus that you don’t have to shave your legs. Look over your spring and summer wardrobe from past years to get a sense for your pattern preferences. If you wear floral print dresses and skirts, then try on floral print pants. If you’re more into abstract patterns, continue that theme with your new pants design.
